Stacey hails originally from Fairburn, Ga., a small town outside of Atlanta. He attended Webster Conservatory in St. Louis Mo. receiving a BFA in Acting. Upon graduating, he took a permanent road trip in a U Haul to New York City and twenty years later he still can't remember where he parked it! Many sublets later, both legal and illegal, he bought a house off the Isle of Manhattan, where he lives with his "other half"? (no), "partner"? (yuk), "significant other"?(too clinical). Lets just say his MAN! Yup, his man John, and their two dogs Lilly and Lucy. Things that Stacey feels passionate about are: dogs, gardening, travel, food, music, a fine cocktail and stimulating conversation!
His "professional" career started early in life when he took dance lessons in his hometown from an original company member of the Radio City Rockettes. That, and having the majorettes and rifle corp of his oldest brothers high school marching band teach him how to twirl. A baton and rifle that is. The other twirling came naturally! Since then he has gone on to appear on Broadway in Crazy for You, Big, Contact, The Producers, Cry-Baby, and the soon to be (hopefully) Minsky's. He toured the US and Europe in 42nd Street, and worked off, off off, way off and so far off Broadway that others might call it regional, dinner, or summer stock theatre. He has numerous commercial credits and has even appeared on PBS Great Performances. However, he has never appeared on Law and Order ---- any of them!
Being a part of Q Talk, Stacey is most excited about sharing, informing, healing, and challenging himself, his fellow gay community as well as the heterosexual world we so diversely live in. He is thrilled to be working with his fellow hosts Joseph, Frantz, and Angie. And to the "behind the scene" friends Ben, Robert, and the Metropolitan Room staff, ---- we couldn't Talk the Q without you!!! |
